Today's random song of the day is Skeleton Man.
What do you think of it?
lyrics I''m a skeleton I''m a skeleton man Hold my skeleton Hold my skeleton hand
I met a child in the hills from the people of the corn It''s been eight hundred years since the child was born And in his ribs I found a pearl An offering from the corn world
I''m a skeleton I''m a skeleton man Hold my skeleton Hold my skeleton hand
Hold my hand We''ll walk in the hot sun Hold my hand In the hot sand
I''m a skeleton I''m a skeleton man, oh
Down in the valley where there used to be the farms Doctor Digger found a room full of arms And now there''s just a dog that barks Chained to a one man trailer park In the hot sand
Hold my hand We''ll walk in the hot sun Hold my hand In the hot sand
I''m a skeleton I''m a skeleton man Hold my skeleton Hold my skeleton hand
I''m a skeleton

Same here. Not a fan of the studio version, but hearing it live made me like the song.

That just means you boys aren't listening to it loud 'nuff. :)
I love this song. The riff is perfect for a song called 'Skeleton Man'.. just has that disjointed sort of out there sound. It really couldn't be anything else.

fantastic song, like the faint noises/shouting in the background by one of the guys. agree with dean, needs to be listened to loud, catchy as hell!

I don't really care either way about this one. Just not my favorite.

i liked it better when it was trying to figure out what the song is about, instead of "i like it" "i don't like it"

This is definitely my least favorite FB song ever, but Dean does make a good point, the riff is perfest for a song called Skeleton Man

Great music, great lyrics, all-around great song. The barking after the line "now there's just a dog that barks" is a nice touch. I think I might have a general fondness for songs about skeletons. Is anyone else familiar with XTC's "Poor Skeleton Steps Out"? Really cool song, that.

Why is there a semi-colon instead of a colon in the title to this thread? I thought the song oracle was a computer...
Maybe it's a secret plea for more money... |

Floop, Owen nailed it. Sir Frankus Was an archeology student for a while, or went on a dig once or something...it's about that..a dig...He's talking about the civilization that was..and now it's just what it is, a dig site. A dog that barks and a trailer (for the workers I guess), the Dr would probably be a Dr or Proffessor running the dig. |
