why is it that pizza in New York is so good? try as they may, no place on the West Coast can seem to replicate the taste. even the places that are like "New York Pizza" etc.. this is quite a philosophical conundrum..

thomas, i know, i've heard that theory. but then why can't they make the same dough in LA? supposedly there's a place where they actually ship the dough from NY, but it still doesn't taste the same. it's a mystery..
i'm leaving Wednesday :(
are you going to the Ballroom? |

Yes I'll be there. I'll be on the right side of the stage with the pretty blonde.
Hey, how about checking out a band for me. They are from Texas and they are huge Frank Black fans who will be in your neck of the woods next week. I'm dying to see them live. They are a make up of the Toadies singer and the Rev Horton Heat drummer. They cover Frank's CZAR.
Nov 14 - Los Angeles - Viper Room - stage time 8:30 - Tix $10 Nov 16 - Orange County - Linda's Doll Hut - stage time 11:30 - Tix $7

Hey Mike look closely at Todd's name. Vaden Todd Lewis. He ends the Toadies and with it he changes his name, has that happened before? hehe Word is that it's his real first name.

wow, Linda's Doll hut is the smallest piece of shit place i've ever been in .. a lot of old school orange county punk bands used to play there though.
i don't get out to O.C. much anymore, but i did grow up there..

It's NY's "secret" ingredients. Should we all have signs that say something like FrankBlack.net? It would be cool to meet some of you. I'll be at both the Bowery and Warsaw. |

Never had NYC pizza, but I don't think it can beat out Chicago pizza

WRONG!
You can claim the Deep Dish Pan Pizza all you want.
Nothing beats walking up to a pizzaria ordering one slice of cheese pizza and taking it on the go. That is fast food at its finest. Sweet Heaven!

i have to agree with Thomas.. having had both. and being a big pizza enthusiast.. it's not really fair to compare them really, since they're very different. they both have their merits.. but if i was scheduled for execution and had to choose, i'd go with NY pizza ..

I love NY pizza and Chicago pizza both but I have to agree Chicago pizza is quite difficult to eat on the go! |

Pizza is great, but my final meal would be a carneasada burrito (probably from San Diego, screw the rice and beans). |
