Has anyone noticed the lack of a post from Der Swimmer? Has he permanently left the forum to stew in his own juices?

I've been wondering the same thing.....I was almost looking forward to the 2 of us getting into it again as it is very entertaining to us if nobody else

Yup. I noticed a distinct swimmer-shaped void. I'm not saying there weren't difficult/overly-obnoxious times, but you gotta admit he had wit, and stood up for his convictions (if even to a fault sometimes). Anyways, I hope he's well. I feel kinda weird about talking about someone in absentia, though....

I thought Dave told the banned if they tried to post under another name during their week off he'd ban them for good. Am I the only one who thought snoop haiku was The Swimmer in disguise? Maybe that's why he's gone. It's too bad he couldn't control himself because he could be an interesting poster at times. I won't miss him though.

See, compared to the Ween forum (which I left in favor of this much more chill, mature forum here) Swimmer was only mildly offensive and only slightly out of line. In fact, on the Ween forum, I wouldn't be surprised if people got banned for not being a complete douchebag/asshole/jackass. It's rough over there.

| Um..guys..he was banned. End of story. This doesn't need any more discussion, and it really only functions to provoke him. (And yes, he still reads it, and predictably sends me emails with threats whenever he is brought up.) |

He's actually been banned for a week prior to this permanent ban, though it was kept quiet, so the second chance has come and gone.

The fact that he is sending Dave threatening emails shows that the guy has issues... he did contribute to some interesting mails but he also spend the other 50% of his forum time being abusive. The fact that he was warned and warned again, means that he shouldn't really complain when the moderators banned him.
