I know it may seem twisted to some, but I have a boatload of newfound respect for Jack (or John) White. He really gave that guy a pickled face. That's walkin' the walk, by golly!
I just wonder what all the hubbub was about, I imagine a beating like that deserves a good reason.

Finally someone puts their fist where someone else's mouth is! Punk fuckin rock! I recall shows where the singer for Cows shoved some kid off the top of the PA with his mic stand, or David Yow throwing shit at the crowd. Most of what's out there now just seems so manufactured...glad to know someone has some heart.

Since the incident, I've seen a couple quick news briefs on this story (CNN, etc) and everytime, the news anchor says "Jack White, lead singer of the White Stripes is accused of punching a member of another band..."
They never say what that other band is. I find that kind of funny. Maybe the news stations are White Stripes fans and this is a publicity stunt for them. Ha.

Probably more in the neighborhood of "who cares who the other band is, there no ones and there's no need to give them any more publicity than they already got out of this pathetic beating"

Were you near the front Edwina? I was by the mixing desk and although i couldn't see the stage all the time, you'd often see Jack White's shadow against the side of one wall...it was pretty cool.
