In an interview with the Belgian newspaper De Morgen, Herman Schuermans (?) of the Werchter organisation says the negotiations with Pixies management are 90% complete.

Maybe this Herman guy is trying to get people all excited so everyone rushes to buy tickets right away in case of a sell out.

Then the crowd-goers who were expecting the Pixies will realize they just wasted their money on Metallica.

strangely, or maybe not suprisingly, if you click on the pixies link on the festival webpage, it seems to suggest that it is nothing more than a rumor at this point.
