Has this ever happened since the demise of the Pixies? As far as I've heard, the Pixies songs he plays nowadays are songs from Come on Pilgrim, Surfer Rosa, and Doolittle. And I'm thankful that he chooses to recognize that era of his songwriting, but I'm curious as to why Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde are completely ignored.

During his session for Studio Brussel he played Velouria. (solo)
Never seen him perform other songs from Bossanova or Trompe

I'm bored with the valleys and bored by the peaks. So I bought a ticket to the freaks

I read that he played The Happening once (but I don't know this for sure)
and Velouria was a frequent song on the last tour

Velouria seems to be regular in Franks set recently, i have heard them play it four times on this tour. As for the bossanova and trompe era tunes, i read in an interview he did lately that he associates alot of those tunes as very much pixies tunes and that he is not as comfortable playing them as much as the set regulars, even though they are all his. Hers hoping they will be re-introduced in the Pixies world tour.

everytime i go to one of his shows, i always pray that he'll play Motorway to Roswell. i think the catholics would play it well too. 'head on' would be cool live, although i've never heard him play it. they did play 'allison' at a show in 2001.

I could see the end of Motorway being Catholicized quite nicely. Davey P. on pedal steel, Richy G. holdin' some solo action... yeah, that'd be awesome.

yeah...at the 2001 show he played Alison, he opened with Fiddle Riddle. the tempo was slightly faster but nonetheless a interesting choice for an opener.

Planet of Sound would be my choice. or UMass. (OK, I have to agree, Motorway to Roswell is amazing and could lend itself to a nice pretty jam session at the end.) Or hell...just play the whole album to simplify things. Maybe a marathon where he plays everything he's ever written.

I met a guy in a rover. He said its one more over. Its just there...where you're bound. This aint the planet of sound.

i agree, FHP. how sweet would it be for him to start off with "Los Angeles", go through his entire catalogue, and finish with "Manitoba". all in order. 5-6 hours of frank. that might be asking a bit much.

wow.. to hear Motorway to Roswell live would be a memory of a liftetime. Planet of sound would also be another good one. I've already heard Gouge Away, Where Is My Mind, Holiday Song and Crackity Jones, which are my other favorites.
