I have four cats and they fuck everything up. Couches, beds, chairs, toilet paper, christmas trees, each other, mice, my toes, shower curtains, bottle caps, guitar cases, window screens, doors, actual cat toys; nothing is sacred to a cat except itself.
I've never thought anything destroying my household could be so cute.

my cat has made one of my chairs (actually, my only chair) a gigantic scratching post. i try to dissuade her, but it's kind of hard when i'm hardly ever here.
it's going to be tough if i ever want to acutally get some nice furniture. |

Hell yeah I'm up 5:23 EST. Sunday is my only day off at the moment. My gf is 6 hours away. I have no weed, only 4 cats, tons of smokes, and a shitload of budweiser. cans. And I plan on putting my pajamas on and getting into bed before I pass out in my chair and spill my beer on my crotch.

I have 14 cats and they've ruined the couch and christmas ornaments too.
Swimmer, what the hell is your problem? Shut the fuck up why don't you? Didn't you get enough attention as a wee one? Weren't you the one who had a "beef" with Ebb for being such a prick?

14 cats scutor? How the hell do you handle that? That's crazy! You have my respect and admiration - One Alice is almost more than I can handle - but she is a holy terror, so she's more like ten.
You gotta keep their nails clipped, and give them something to fuck up, like one of those scratching posts, with the cardboard - better yet, several of them, around the house.. They are doing the dual job of marking their territory (scent glands in their paw pads) and trying to keep their claws filed down, as they can get very uncomfotable when they grow too long.
We had a leather couch at our old condo - it was suedelike on top and on the sides when our cat was done. Once they get started on a piece of furniture, it's hard to train them off of it - it already has the scent and is ingrained in their daily habits. |

apl, they're actually my mother's cats and I'm not home very often so I don't have to deal with them. I love them all dearly but I think my mom is a fruit for taking them all in.
Everytime we've bought a scratching post they just ignore it. It ends up being a very expensive eyesore.
