Here is the scenario:
1. I have tickets for The Dandy Warhols this Thursday (27th Nov) in Nottingham. Looking forward to this.
2. I have been offered tickets for the Nottingham Radiohead concert on Saturday 29th Nov. £30 each.
3. I am contemplating buying a ticket to see FB&C at the Shepherds Bush Empire on Monday 1st Dec. However I live about 3 hours away and would need to drive down that afternoon and return the same night for work the next day. Also no one else in Lincoln appears to be a fan of FB so I would be travelling on my own.
What do I do? Answers on a postcard please.
p.s. ironically this will be my first gig(s) attended since 1993!!

You MUST got to the FB and Radiohead shows. The Dandy Warhols... they're missable. But FB is amazing live, and I'm told from a good source that Radiohead are simply amazing, and "way too talented for their own good". You will kick yourself for missing these shows. And if not, I will. |

Compared to FB and Radiohead? Come on... I'd say, AT LEAST, missable. |

I have just purchased the ticket for Mr Black & his band. Why was I even debating this???? Who will be attending from the forum? I'll wear a pink carnation and you can all wave to me from the stalls below (I'm on level 1 unfortunately)
If the FB&C bus breaks down again I'll cry. Saying that I have got a v. large Volvo. I'll happily ferry them around for a couple of days.
Jury is still out on the Radiohead gig. Decision to be made later today. Will keep you posted. (I agree that it is a gig that I shouldn't miss. I believe they are on fire at the moment).

I would definitely hit the Radiohead gig or you probably will think back someday, "I had the chance to see these guys and I didn't"

well, i've seen all 3 this year myself... so let me give my humble opinion too...
first off, frank, well, need i say anything, get yourself down there my son! the last thing you want to do is miss a frank show, who knows what he'll play!!
radiohead, heh, well i saw them on saturday. same. get down there, you won't regret it, i'm not keen on the new stuff, in fact i only really like ok computer now, but amazing gig, amazing! just amazing. undescribable. but i imagine it's close to the sheer perfection of a pixies gig, close.
dandy warhols, very, *very* tough one that. I've seen them a few times now, and I really like them, all their albums are fantastic, apart from maybe the new one. whenever i've seen them they've been amazing, played massive long sets, taken requests, had a good laugh during the banter... i think they're great live on the whole. but i've heard they can be a bit crap at times! i've never witnessed that myself though.
basically, if you have to miss one of them, miss the dandys, but if possible i reckon it's worth seeing all 3. if you can afford to and have the time.

Well, I saw the Dandy Warhols. They were pretty good but the crowd was a bit muted and this put a bit of a dampener on things. Also I was driving and therefore stone cold sober which is never a good idea. Also at 2.45 hours the gig was too long for their back catalogue. A couple more decent albums and they should be really rocking.
Radiohead were, it has to be said, very tasty indeed. I am not a big fan of their last three albums but the tracks were far superior in a live envirmonent. The stage show was stunning (simple but effective) and the band performed magnificently. 10,000 very happy customers. The place went mental when they kicked into Paranoid Android. Seriously glad I made the decision to go along.
FB&C tomorrow night. Yippee!!!!
