i'm not really crazy about this album art, to be honest. and i'm not sure exactly what it is that i don't like about it, but looking at makes me angry.
i think it would look more pleasing if, instead of all that orange surrounding the lemon, that was yellow too. and maybe make the text yellow, with an off-yellow drop-shadow.. just an idea. i don't want to pretend that i'm a designer, but i do think i could do something much better than this.
here's album art that i really like.. not only because it's a classic album, but it's also a theme that resonates deeply with me (as i'm sure it does all of us):
it's hard to tell whether he's going into the yellow brick road, or stepping off it. from the title, we assume he's leaving the yellow brick road, but is he? he seems caught between both worlds, the harsh non-yellow world and the yellow world. which would you chose? |
