Cast aside Old Speckled Hen and buy yourself a case of 'Sneck Lifter'. Very tasty dark beer made in some olde worlde part of Mercia or such like. Haven't seen it for sale recently for some reason.

Had a quick look on the olde worlde internete. Sneck Lifter is still being produced. Decent chaps those Jennings Brewery types.



I shall purchase a small quantity without delay. I suggest you do the same Mr Cheeseman.

I will indeed keep one eye out. So, what is a sneck, and how would one lift it.
Mercia is up north right? Sort of Liverpool way? Therefore I'm assuming that to 'lift' the sneck would be to steal it like a geezer?
