I was just wondering, how come The Pixies dident hit BIG? A lot of people in my home country(Denmark) never heard of them.

I don't know, politics and money, I guess. A lot of the songs are instantly catchy; I imagine more people would like them if they actually heard them.

Well they didn't hit big commercially, but going down as one of the most influential bands of all time is surely a higher acolade.
