Being a huge Bowie fan, I've got tickets to his December show in Boston. When I told a friend of mine, he was instantly overwhelmed because he had apparently heard from a highly reputable source that Bowie has been attempting to get the Pixies to open for him as their first show in 10 years in the town they started in.
As tempting as this sounds, I have found nothing else online to back this rumor up. So has anyone else heard about this or is it just wishful thinking on the part of some over zealous Pixies fanatic?
And don't disrespect Bowie for asking them to open, he's a good dude and just as influential to them as they are to him. :) |

That would be nasty. How much were the Bowie tickets? I might just have to go even though it's the longest of all shots.
Where abouts do you live SexiPi?

Would that be Carson Dailey? When Bowie was on Carson Dailey Carson told him the Pixies were reuniting and then said "yeah you could have them open up for you". Maybe Bowie took it to heart or maybe your source just has a big crush on Carsey. |

Perhaps you my friend took it to heart a bit more than Bowie since your able to quote the convo verbatim :)
I'm not sure where my friend gets his info but he never seems to be wrong on these matters. Most recently, he told me Elliot Smith had just killed himself not more than an hour after his body was found. He seems to know touring schedules of bands (and individual members) to the T. I'm not saying he's right, I just want to know if anyone else heard about it.
The Bowie tickets were like 40 for me cause I've got Bowie Net (call me lame if you must), the regular tickets went for like 65, but I'm pretty sure the show is sold out. Give it a shot though, Bowie is amazing live.
I live on Mass Ave Scuter. Thanks for asking :) |

Well, as much as I love the kid and rely on him for such information, it doesn't mean he's right all the time. That's why I asked if anyone knew anything about it. I'd like to find out if it was in fact true. |
