You mean you played that one COF, but not the original text game? I kinda liked the old text games, because it involved the use of so much imagination on the part of the player. I like the more recent games too - the last one I played was Grand Inquisitor - one of the funniest I've played, along with Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (the way Abe moves is a riot!)

I had a choose your own adventure Zork book but never played the game.

The uber nerd's research showed that Mario would kick ass but I always thought his work was flawed. On the other hand, I don't think Dr. Robotnik could defeat Bowser.

I just DLed this old Star Trek computer game that's all text, no images. I think it was first used in DOS. It's all strategy, sectors, quadrants and such. I think it'll be great once I have time to read the 37 pages of instruction.

I used to play games on a Commodore64.

remember Load "supercrycle",8,1

I also played in a band in Nashville called comma8 comma1

I remember waiting a month while it loaded. Then you could play some horribly pixelized piece of shit game.

Ahhhh those were the daaaaaaayyyys.

Yeah, I played a bit of that as well as Oddworld (maybe I played a sequel though, with Twinsen or something like that). No text adventures for me. Some online text MUSHs and stuff, back in the day... a friend of mine was big into a Star Wars one, actually, so I'd often just watch him play, but nothing else too huge.

I've been really tempted to buy Star Wars galaxies, but the Pixies tribute would never get done.

It would all depend on whether Bowser was allowed to use minions like the Koopa Troopers, and whether Robotnik was allowed his floaty spaceship thing.

the 'mario brothers' means that their last name would be 'mario' doesnt it? so that means, mario's first and last name....was mario.... mario mario. and luigi mario. what?

i always thought they were a gay couple anyway. i mean come on, matching outfits and big tashes! and theyre both plumbers...."ive just come to check your pipes". it was full of inuendo.

but you have to admit.....sonic's music was better.

The name of Mario has been long debated.

haven't played supercycle but I've been anxious to play Load Runner again, just need to find the proper cords.

The music in Mario was kind of lame, Sonic's was definitely better.
Plus, with Sonic, you had the crazy bonus pinball rounds, which rocked.

Oh, I'll be the first to admit the original campaign "Neverwinter Nights" was weak in very many ways (too much Diablo and not enough Baldur's Gate)...but Neverwinter Nights the GAME is so much more than that.

There are persistent worlds up online 24/7, that have eclipsed anything Bioware released under the NWN engine in both style and substance. True role-playing games, so to speak. That is the beauty of NWN...the actual original game was pretty much a huge, glorified show case of what you could accomplish with the Aurora Toolset and an abundance of C++ lite scripting knowledge.

If you were to go back to the game, and actually hop online (and also download the customized modules that people have released which are in the thousands [though only a handful are worth your time]) I'm sure your experience would be a lot different.

On top of that, one expansion is out and the second (and last) is coming out in a month or so. Both of those significantly expand gameplay and add even more potential to the game. I agree that the main NWN campaign blew goat nads, but don't judge the entire game from what was essentially just the very first initial module!

I am in love with SSX 3.

I was a huge fan of SSX Tricky.........so SSX three has me by the balls (so to speak). What's cool is my girlfriend is a bigger fan of the game than I am, so not only do i not receive flak for wanting to play it a lot, but she is right there w/ me pounding away at the joypad. It's a wonderful thing (;

You must be being sarcastic. No doubt more people know Mario's music than Sonic. Fuck Sonic and his stupid cock rings.

Bowser can breathe fire and has magical powers. He's also probably bigger than Robotnik. And if Robotnik is allowed to use his spaceship, Bowser should be allowed to use his Clown Copter.

I played a nearly 2 hour game of Natural Selection (Half-Life mod) in which I was the commander for the marines...it was the only game longer than 15 minutes that I actually somewhat successfully commanded. What a fun game.

Oh yes, Championship Manager 2, oh yes. Responsible for a silly amount of wasted life. Possibly the most addictive spreadsheet ever created.

Ladybug for Coleco back in the day, I was the Special master!
It was kind of like Pacman. Aha, who saw the family guy where pacman was all depressed and the ghost were trying to cheer him up. "Hey we're turning blue, come eat us"

I did a quick mastering of Supersmash and Pokemon Stadium just so I can beat my son's friends when they come over. Mwahahaha!
