That was really funny - I don't know why they got rid of it - did you see that on the "Adult Swim" lineup on cartoon network, Coldheart? They had such good shows. Loved Cowboy Bebop! And oh, man! the Aqua Teen Hunger Force! Meatwad cracks me up big time!

i really enjoyed ren & stimpy when it was new but i've gone back and watched it again and didn't find it nearly as funny as i did then.
pretty much the only cartoons i can say i definitely enjoy right now are most of what's on adult swim.
harvey birdman and family guy suck ass, though. i guess i'm in the minority but i see all the jokes coming a mile away. |

How could you see the jokes coming a mile away in the Family Guy? They're usually contained within 5 seconds and without any build up - it's just so spontaneous. Have you seen the second season? I think the first season's eps leave a li'l to be desired.

yeah i've seen most episodes 'coz i used to watch all 3 hours of adult swim religiously.
they just seem obvious to me. it may seem random to you, but i guess that just means i think like the writers do. unfortunately that's not a good thing in this case, since the family guy relies so heavily on scatalogical humour. |

tiz weird especially since the Family Guy has a ton of writers. I always wondered how the show could be so formulaic with so many different writers.

because the writers aren't free to do whatever they want, basically.
look at mr.show, you have lots of writers free to come up with whatever ideas they can; which is why you have such diversity in it. |

Maybe The Simpsons should take on an assload of new writers. It could ruin the show but as things stand at least it would be an effort to escape it's imminent demise.

the thing is there aren't many good writers out there, and unfortunately writers don't get paid based on quality of work.
so they know they won't get paid more for writing something good for the simpsons, so they choose to go to a more interesting project which probably pays the same.
even if the simpsons started offering higher salaries they wouldn't necessarily get the best writers out there. |

Family Guy is great, one of the funniest shows ever. I've seen the entire 3rd season more than once (we watch it on DVD at the video store), and almost EVERYBODY comments on how funny the show is...it's great...simply great. The writers are geniuses.

good job posting the same really, really old image in twice (that i've seen so far anyway.)
why are some of you flipping out? you do realize that's just an old photoshop job. not to mention it's probably the most child-friendly picture on rotten.com.
i think a good chunk of this forum just learned to use a computer recently :P |
