You're confident. You mix a damn smart martini. Dames like the cut of your jib. You're the kind of person who knows what they want. You work hard, you play hard. Chill your favorite bubbly, and let the music weave it's silken, starlight magic so masterfully produced through your stereophonic titilator.
Okay....
Best "lovetime" records...
1. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless 2. Swervedriver - Mezcal Head 3. Miles Davis - Bitches Brew and/or Live Evil (or perhaps some acoustically based Miles for those especially tender sessions) 4. Talking Heads - Remain in Light (for more stern partners) 5. James Brown - Live at the Apollo (for the more active participant) and finally for good measure and for a well rounded list... 6. The Stooges - Funhouse (for the especially frisky endeavors)
Please refrain from including Prince, Sade, Sting, or any other performers who's stage name is a single word. Generally speaking, I just can't keep a straight face for em. |

Tear Garden (Tired Eyes Slowly Burning). Or Legendary Pink Dots (Any album). For the like-it's-the-End-of-the-World love-sessions!
Paradise is exactly like where you are right now... only much, much...better. Laurie Anderson |

MOTORHEAD!!!!!
I think I'd prefer to start on side two cause "Damage Case" added to a session, is like gas on a fire. |

I was joking, i'm not a rabbit!
I don't like much music for this kind of moment, at least music with words.

Iggy and the Stooges - Raw Power or really anything by the Stooges is great. Maybe some Flaming Lips for softer sessions "What is the Light" is a good one.

When my girlfriend and I first got together, it would be Dark Side of the Moon and Pet Sounds.

Is Operation Makeout a band or a record label? If it's a band, then I agree floop, that would be a great record label name.
Hmm, good lovin' music.... "Loveless" is a good choice. There are parts of Yoshimi that would work well... Maybe "Freedom of '76" by Ween.....

I have to admit that we rarely think, "Hey, let's put on some music first." That would probably be preferable to the current system of not really noticing what the hell's on the stereo until it's become clear that it's so grating that someone's going to have to go stagger naked through our inadequately-curtained house to turn the infernal noise off. (Ethel Merman, begone!!) For what it's worth, SMYT didn't trigger any mad dashes for the stereo.

So Ethel Merman peers into your inadequately-curtained house to stare at you or your spouse walking naked through the place to turn off the stereo too? I have that problem ALL THE TIME!!! What do you reccomend?

I saw Al Green two summers ago. He'd sing two lines, and then go on about the lord, because he's the Reverend Al Green now of course. Somehow, it didn't ruin my date. |

How about 'Sweetness' or 'Heart of the Sunrise' by those crazy 70's prog-rockers 'Yes'.
I think that that might work... |
