Fucking sold out in about 15 minutes. Damn internet! What happened to the fun of lining up for tix? You know if you're 4th in line you should be able to get tickets!
Daniel did you get any?
this sucks, my son literally cried himself to sleep, no word of a lie. What can I do? |

Does it help that I feel very sorry? Cause I do. That's gotta break your heart, as a Mom. Wish I could help.
What is/who are Chili's? All my siblings are over 15, now, so I'm clueless.

Red Hot Chili Peppers. How old are you apl4eris, or better yet what is a name that we can call ya that is easier to type than apl4eris?
Who knows maybe they'll do a second show or something. |

Poor D! He was really stoked about that, wasn't he? I hope you meet some friendly, reasonably-priced scalper. : (

Oh, of course. the chili peppers. d'oh! I saw them once at a lollapalooza, I think it was '91? They are a fun band live, tho I don't know how Keatis functions without his mane of hair ;). I love flea. I hope you're able to get a second show going. I know when Radiohead played Chicago, the tix sold out so fast they immediately scheduled a second date. Good luck.
I'm 30. There's a big age difference b/w me and my 6 half-siblings (long story). Suffice to say, I changed a lot of poopy diapers, and have tried to influence a lot of young minds musically.
You can call me apl, I guess. I wouldn't want to go by eris. She might get mad....

well ya he does, but that's the shiznit for him. When he heard they were coming he said (and he's usually really soft spoken) "Mom I don't care how much tix cost or if I stay up really late on a school nite, we're going, I'm putting my foot down!" |

Yeah, the "washed up" argument will really hold water with a child, I'm sure. Sheesh.
I hope you can figure something out, Carolyanna! |

Is this one of the shows that the Flaming Lips are opening? I'd rather see the Flaming Lips with RHCP than with String Cheese Incident like I'm going to.

Back already from where? London? Don't go there until the 8th. I have just been home (not working) and without as much bored computer time. I'm always lurking though, don't worry! |

Carolyn, I skipped over the part of your son crying. Sorry. But seriously, I think it's time to give him "the talk." You know...the one about bands who are washed up and way past their prime....

Actually, I like him listening to the Chili's better than him sneaking Mike's Slipknot/Obituary/Metallica.....CDs. Or even worse, he could like the shite that's on the radio. |

Hey Carolyn, I've got a ticket for myself. Honestly, I'm more excited to see Mike Watt open for them. The Chili Peppers have some good stuff, but Watt's one of my absolute favourites! Anyway, my buddy managed to get six on the floor (which sold out in 30 seconds!), but he's working to find people to buy them. I don't want to get your hopes up in case he already found homes for all of these tickets, but I'll call him as soon as he's off work tonight. You'd be getting them at face value ($62 or thereabouts). I don't think I'll catch you here anymore because of my job, but my e-mail address should be in my profile and you can let me know as soon as possible if you want in.

By the way Carolyn, there's also another chance to get tickets for the Heritage Classic (the outdoor hockey game). Any date that I quote here may be off, but not by much. Anywhat, they call The Edmonton Sun is including entry forms for yet another draw until October 8. There probably won't be as many people entering this one, but I think the way you have to do it is actually look through the Sun, fill out the form, and drop it off at a McDonald's. These tickets are for what they're calling the "McDonald's Family Zone" or something. If your name gets picked - they print those October 17 - you can buy four tix for $180 in the alcohol-free family seats.
Just if you were still interested........

Daniel, thanks so much for trying to help but I don't think I'll need that ticket. My bro can get a couple floor tickets which I will then give to my other brother in law who will give me his non-floor tix and then I can go with D (ideally). See ya at Ween hey? |

Why don't you just keep the floor tickets? I bet between the two of us we'd generate enough power to toss your son right up on stage, where he'll dance up a storm with Flea all night! Come on, you're depriving him of the biggest thrill of his life.
Yeah, I'll be at Ween. I forgot how soon that one was approaching, I'd better get a ticket right away.

Is it the 6th, that is coming up fast! That would be hilarious, throwing him up on stage, too funny. Nah, I'll stick to the red section. I'm pretty sure it will all work out. |
