When has the remix ever been better than the original song?
Two Cases:
Something in The Air - David Bowie (American Psycho Remix) Body Movin' - Beastie Boys (Fatboy Slim Remix)
Any others?

There was an awesome Been Caught Stealin remix but I don't know if it has any kind of disco remix name. |

well...I was gonna say New Order's Temptation 87..but that to me sounds more like a re-recording, kind of like River Euphrates from Gigantic single (still both superior ifyou asked me) |

see nine inch nails 'closer' EP for a few examples. 'further down the spiral' for more. at least IMHO.
i think the originals hold together as a cohesive album better, but some of the individual remixes found there are fucking great. |

The Walk - The Cure.... don't like the album version, but the version off of Mixed Up is great.
Close to Me - The Cure.
In fact, the Cure can be very good at remixes.

I have to agree with you though, in general remixes are shite.

I really like the remix of Gorrillaz's "19-2000" better than the original

Cornelius did a loungy version of Beck's Mixed Bizness that was really cool. |

Rob Zombie's album "American Made Music To Strip By" is entirely remixes of his album "Hellbilly Deluxe", and it's damn good. |
