I have in the past said appreciative things of Jim. I will in the future I am sure. I won't say anything bad about Jim on this board anymore though.
It was explained to me that it's not worth taking up board space. I agreed with that and am trying to pass that along to Ebb and MIRV, but they are to cool for school I guess. |

| I' don't think using that kid's picture was a great decision. I'm sure no harm was intended, but I don't he deserved being paired up with the cartoonish teletubby (as if it's a silly or insulting picture of The Swimmer). |

The internet is no less a valid form of communication than any other. Implying that face to face communication is the only valid meathod is an unthoughtful comment to make, because that's not the way the world is - we have access to a variety of other forms of communication, and their rules should not be governed by those of only one method.
Making arguments like "you wouldn't say that to my face" is silly and pointless, as this is not "face to face". This is the internet - it's a different social consturct than speaking face to face, and different rules apply. It is no less valid a form of communication than any other though. In many way's it is a good thing that things like shyness and physical intimidation can't get in the way of expression of opinion, as they can in "real life".
Accept this, make the most of it, and try not to take it seriously. |

How come all of a sudden are people dedicating whole threads to abuse??? This place is starting to become like the Skid Row.net message board (which I shamefully admit to viewing (not posting though) every once in a while). Some of it is amusing though with all the put downs!
Anyway, I know that this thread had nothing to do with giving El Barto a good slagging, but I'd have to agree with the following as said by Brendan:
