Yeah so I bought the new Enon cd "Hocus Pocus" and at about the middle of track 9 the thing goes skiptastic so I pop it out and low and behold not a scratch but a dimple in the metal. So I finally take it back to the cd store today and get it exchanged. I get home open up the new one and low and behold it's got the same dimple in the same spot!
Maybe it's an experiment in the manufacturing stage (nah, there'd probably be a warning on the CD case). You could either try buying from a different music shop or ripping the affected track(s) onto your PC. If you try the latter and they come out okay, you could just burn a copy of the entire album. I would probably complain to the band or its record label, though.
When the hell is CBS gonna do a Murphy Brown reunion?
