i really like the pixies and have all their albums (and will soon get the bsides and live), but ive never much listened to frank black since, which FB or FB and the catholics album should i get first to introduce me to it?

Spend a little time reading on the site. Most people will tell you start with Teenager of the Year, or TOTY as referred to here.
My humble opinion is, because that is the 2nd solo album, just go ahead and start with the first and go from there up till the most recent one. Then you can experience the transformation or change in style and/or mood that we have witnessed these past 10 years.
There's a lot of shit to get through on this site, no thanks to members like me included but overall we're all here cuz we dig FB.

Welcome! I know some others will chime in and probably say the orange (self titled) CD from Frank for your first outing. I say, all are fabulous.
Also though, maybe this is a question for FAQ, Miss Quiz Mistress? It sure is frequently asked.

Yeah that's what I mean t by "the first" I meant the Orange sun Self titled cd with Los Angeles and Fu Man Chu and I Heard Ramona Sing (and post). |
