I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks, but Three's Company was and still is an excellent show. Sad to see him go so young.

I agree. I've watched it a few times over the past few years, and although it is really stupid, it is a part of my childhood.

I remember watching it at the first house I ever lived at here in Oak Ridge...we had a very small-screen TV in the kitchen, that's all we had. I would sit on top of the refrigerator. (I would never let my daughter do this, even when she gets a little bit older. I don't know why my own parents let me...maybe they wanted me to fall..?) We'd watch that show, and others like Mork & Mindy, and Laverne & Shirley. That was what started my TV addiction. By the time I was 5 or so, I would watch anything that came on, including soap operas and anything else. The addiction is there still, ony now it is redirected toward the computer.

Sad that Ritter never had more of an acting career, I think he was very typecast. I've only seen him in a few other things. (Steven King's IT, an episode or two of The Cosby Show, and "Bride of Chucky," where he got his face impaled by a whole bunch of nails. At least his real death was better than that!!!)

R.I.P. John Ritter.

I am so sad about this. It seems like everyone is dying young recently - Gregory Hines, etc.

Very very sad. He also leaves behind a young family (wife and daughter).

I am still in shock. John Ritter is an American television icon who has done some impressive (Skin Deep, Sling Blade) film roles and countless made for tv/cable films, and I will miss him terribly. He had a handful of series since the demise of Three's Company and has always been a working actor with nothing but good praises from peers and coworkers. As a dramatic actor, he had a wide range, and was always a joy to watch when you caught him in something. Not since River Phoenix died has a celebrity death really affected me. John was too young and too talented. Drama is easy. Comedy is hard. He could easily do them both. And the best attribute a person can have, famous or not, is the ability to make another person laugh. Unfortuantly Death ain't biased. I'm gonna hug someone I know tomorrow and tell a joke...and Mr. Ritter will be my influence. Rest in Peace, John.

Come and knock on our door
Take a step that is new
Where the kisses are hers and hers and his
Three's Company too...

RIP Tripper.

Anyone that can make fun of the fact that their ball was exposed on Nick at Night is A.O.K. with me.

That was so nice, Brian! You made me cry! I am totally in shock still as well, it seems unreal that someone so alive and happy and with all this great stuff to live for could just collapse and die. I know it happens every day but somehow it doesn't fail to shock and surprise.

I also think he was a sort of under rated guy, who not only was known to do great at comedy but could do great drama as well. He just seemed like a good guy and that is what makes it so sad, I guess.

Did anyone see him on Buffy the Vampire Slayer where he played "Ted the robot"? I thought that was a fabulous episode.

I remember him being good in the short-lived dramedy, Hooper.

I found this today: Maybe one of you can put it to music.

Good-bye Hooperman
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to be a clutz
And take a pratfall

You crawled out from The Waltons
And starred in Stephen King's It, which was cool
You were the fat kid who grew up thin
And had a crush on Annette O'Toole

CHORUS:
It seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle dipped in gas
Though it burns very brightly
It goes out too fast
And I would have liked to have known you
But now it's too late
You're up with Mr. Roper now
Does he still think you're gay?

Hearts Afire was tough
Maybe the toughest role you ever played
But at least you weren't killed in that
Like you were as Chief Kincaid

And even when you tried
To relax in a hammock for a bit
You just kept falling off
'Til I thought my sides would split

REPEAT CHORUS

Good-bye Hooperman
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to expose yourself
And that really took "balls"

Yes, good-bye Norma Jean
Oops, that's another version of this song
I guess that only thing left to do
Is to wave and say "so long"

REPEAT CHORUS

You're up with Mr. Roper now
Does he still think you're gay?

huge fan of jiggling breasts are we? even so there are better sources of said pleasantry than a sub-mediocre seventies sitcom.

just read his poetry. it's quite apparent that he sucks dick as a joyous hobby...it has nothing to do with getting transportation.

the "joke" about you sucking dick for pleasure was already used?

i didn't know that. i suppose i should have, given your nature. maybe you should reevaulate your blatantly open homosexuality and stop getting angry. i guess the ambiguity surrounding your gaping closet door should be firmly erased and opened. welcome to gaydom! i can't speak for myself in this respect, but i guess it's now safe to speak for yours.
hopefully someone near and dear to you should do us the favour of wiping your existence from the face of the earth....where do you live?

MIRV, like I said, you've missed it.

If you have anything else to say, fuckwit, keep it off the board. No one cares what you have to say to me. You can email off the board if you have something to say.

great comeback. really.

unfortunately, i don't really give much of a fuck to "take it to email". i'd rather humiliate you publicly on your beloved board.

so, after you clear out that last load from the back of your throat, gather your thoughts and feel free to respond.
