Here's a tip, LBF: don't do mix CDs for your girlfriends. Girlfriends don't like music.

Mine does. She liked a mix I gave her. It even had tom waits stuff on it and FB's "Don't Ya rile em". But, generally i have to agree with you Denis. Alot of girls have shallow taste in music. What's that saying women use? "A good man is hard to find"? Yeah well, "A girl who likes good music is hard to find!"

yeah LBF.. and putting "Somebody I Used To Know" is like a self-fulfilling prophesy.. man, that's one of the most hard-core break up songs ever. (i love that song)..
by the way, i thought of you LBF because the Burning Brides are playing here in LA next month.. at the Troubadour. since you're always singing their praises.
maybe i'll mosey on down there and check em out..

hehe..just some advice here - girls (or more appropriately - targets of your infatuation) don't like THOUGHTLESS mix tapes. ie - not necessarily what you like.
Find out what they like, then make them a CD of what *they* like. Keep yourself out of the picture. Then **slowly** start inserting the odd tune that you like that they would like. Start with songs from bands that would appeal to them, then when they get used to some of their sounds, introduce them to the more varied productions..
Then let it grow from there. I've had a lot of success introducing people to music they wouldn't necessarily be open to by easing them into it.
But that's just my story..

This girl wasn't good for me anyhows, and I obviously made the mix when I was depressed. I just thought it would be fun to poke through my choices of music at the time.
That Shellac song I thought that was the title, I obviously d/l the mp3 and didn't buy the album :(
I friggin love that song. It's not just I'll kill you, but if you cheat on me, god will kill you.
This girl likes bands like Creed and Staind. Other than her horrible taste in music, which I was able to enlighten slightly, and the fact that she turned out be a drunk hoe, literally, she was pretty cool :)
She wasn't right for me anyway. I need a nice girl who is really pretty and enjoys sex (with only me) immensely. If she is rich that could work too.

Sounds to me like you've not ever had one to ask my friend...

"A girl who likes good music is hard to find!"
This is so sad. Apparently you have not been hanging out in the right places...I know so many girls who like GOOD music (i.e. Frank); I must dispute that. Of course I can't PROOVE it, but here I am, so that's SOMETHING!!
girlie so groovy I want you to know... |

Yeah, I'd have to chime in with Ramona here. There are hep girls out there. Best to just find someone who already shares your taste in music. Buck up, little camper! |
