Was in The Bennies yes, from like, December 2000 to December 2001. I left because I stole/rescued the drummer's girlfriend from him (and we're still together). It just got weird and I lost interest. They fired Brett (the drummer) a few months ago and are recording a new album with Jack's (bass player) brother on drums. Most of the songs are definitely kickass. Who knows when they'll release it, though.

In 10 years all this info will surely be on VH1's "Behind the Music: The Bennies." Hang tight.

I saw the Bennies open for Frank in 1999. That was cool. I've also downloaded a couple of their MP3s and I like them alot. I think they were the ones produced by Steve Albini.

Hah! The only reason why I ever joined them was to secure my spot on Behind The Music. Just kidding...I just always loved their music, and I believe Jeremy is an amazing songwriter.

I remember when the Bennies owned the AbstractPlain.

Most reviews I've seen mention that real draw being their fantastic drummer.

How is it going w/o him?

Well, Jack's brother is for SURE an awesome drummer...much much more focused than Brett. Brett was an excellent drummer, no doubt, but he is not a good person. The thing about his drummer was that he ALWAYS overplayed...always putting in rediculous fills and not really providing a rhythm like a drummer should. Jeremy plays rhythm with a little lead, Jack plays a lot of lead parts on the bass, so you're left with the drummer to fill the spot for rhythm, which he didn't do a great job of. But yeah, the new drummer is tops, the only problem is he lives in MA and they live in PA...so he's not a fulltime thing unless they tour, etc.
