| Well, the doors take about 2 seconds to close, there's a bit of a delay to make sure that they're closed (although the close detection mechanism is obviously where the failure was, it probably still would've had to timeout), and then the elevator starts moving up taking another 1-2 seconds to clear the doors since they accelerate slowly. The guy probably had about 6 seconds of being trapped and realizing he was going to die by a severe uppercut all the while being compressed by the door hydraulics. I wouldn't say quick or painless, exactly. But scary. Glad to work in a single storie building. |

Oh, of course...shooting peoples' heads off in GTA, blowing people to pieces with rockets, you name it. But the thing is, those are video games. My brain can tell the difference between reality and virtual reality. Whereas I could shoot someone's head off in a video game without blinking, I can't even handle more than the average amount of blood in real life.

I have a short attention span, only on rare occassions do I read full articles online. Magazines are another story...I subscribe to way too many of them.

anybody see "Final Destination 2?" That movie had a part where some lady got decaptitated by an elevator too. Those movies, although kind of stupid, are somewhat disturbing because all of the horrible ways that people in them die could actually happen.
