Against my better judgement i saw this film on the weekend, it was crap but i don't need to tell you lot, you'll all have worked that out anyway. However, the thing i don't understand is where does jason come from? i have never seen any freddie/ halloween type of films (except freddie v jason) and i assumed that jason was from the halloween series but i have since discovered that this is not the case and some guy called Mike Mryers is the baddie in Halloween. So now i'm confused, are there any horror film buffs out there that could enlighten me as to which film Jason comes from and who Mike Mryers is? |

surely you've heard of Friday the 13th
He who can does - he who cannot, teaches. (George Bernard Shaw)
The only difference between doctors and lawyers is that lawyers merely rob you, whereas doctors rob you and kill you, too. (Anton Chekhov)
By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll become happy; if you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher. (Socrates) |

you're really not missing anything. Those movies are terrible and a waste of your 2 hours. If you want to watch a campy horror film, go rent/download Texas Chainsaw Massacre. |

I love the "Winner Kills All!" tagline. Every time I hear it, I crack up, which may or may not be the reaction the filmakers wanted.
Other than the ads, I have not seen any of these movies. I have also never had a Twinkie. I am a strange girl. |

At the MN state fair, they have deep-fried twinkies. The also have deep-fried candy bars, deep-fried oreos, and macaroni and cheese on a stick. Sure signs of the apocalypse. |

Um..back to the important stuff..
Jason, as i understand it (i haven't seen his movies) was the son of a camp director, and his mom went and killed a bunch of kids, and he drowned in the lake, but came back and started killing camp directors, or was it 'bad people' and anyone in his way..? Something like that.
A buddy saw the movie and said he really liked it, but he's a really weird guy. He liked American Wedding too tho, so props to him. |

Jason seems to just kill teenagers who are either having sex or about to have sex. And Gracie & Dave you really haven't seen 1 Friday the 13th movie? |

That's not a bad idea for a horror movie. You get the sex or at least suggestive scenes and you get the gore. It's win win. Well, except for the teenagers. Then again, I've always said that when I go, I want it to be during a sexual escapade. Well, OK, I've never said that. But I know a guy, and he knows a guy. |

That's not really an idea, a plethora of horror movies are already like that. And like I said you're not supposed to combine sex and violence, its very warping. |

Yeah, I know, that was sarcasm... sorry, it's hard to convey properly over this blasted super information super highway SUPER!!! The fact that Al Gore coined this term for the internet underscores the need for the US to get rid of their two-party system.
But I don't imagine that violence completely disconnected from sex would be warping (as in the jason shows), it's probably the sex & violence as the same act that's warping. But who knows. The mind is a funny thing. Especially yours. :) |

So the movie is Fredd Vs Jason - Who won? Or did no one win? Just curious and I don't want to spend the eight bucks! |

It was a cop out really. Jason had the upper hand at the end of the film but Freddie wasn't dead. It was left wide open for a sequel. The film makers couldn't let freddie win outright because he seems to be much more evil, he was a child killer after all. Jason was just some ugly fat kid who got picked on and is now out for revenge. Take my advice, unless you like teenage slasher films, save your money. There were lots of big fake tit shots though, if you like that sort of thing. |

I saw the first couple of Jason flicks and never saw any Freddie's. Somehow I figured out they were pretty much the same. I thought the Fred v. Jason movie was a good idea; Have both of them killed off and that would end it. One would hope. |
