Well those in the UK might know that today was GCSE results day, and about a week ago it was A Level results day. I don't think there are many, if any, people who would have got there results this year on these boards, but here are my GCSE results, for anyone who cares!
English Language - A English Literature - B Maths - B Science - Double B History - C Geography - C Spanish - C
and er...
Graphic Products - E Drama - G
but the last two aren't REAL subjects, are they!? :)
not that great but good enough to get where i want and to do what i want for A Level... |

You guys have "G" letter grades in the UK? Is that the lowest or do you use "H" too?

Or 'I'?
You could say to your mom:
"Look mum! I'm #I in my class! Righto.. It's a Roman Numeral! Jolly good then!"

Here is mine from 1992:
English Language - B English Literature - B Maths - C Science - Double C History - B Humanities - B Design - B
and er...
French - D
1992.... fuck was it that long ago? I feel like a right old bastard. Pixie Steve, when you do A Levels or whatever you'll think to yourself 'why the fuck didn't I get straight A's in my GCSE's.' Or thats what I thought anyway.

Hey, if drama isn't a real subject, then I shouldn't have to re-pay my student loans, right? Ye gods, I've finally found a loophole! Thanks for the inspiration, PixieSteve! :-P |

Hey, just declare bankruptcy and then you won't have to pay back your student loans. If they haven't closed up that loophole yet. |

Oh, they closed that one long ago. I went bankrupt two years ago, but student loans are for forever. Or until you die. Whichever. I don't think they care. |

I though it goes A, b, c, d, e, then f is a fail and finnally U which is unconditional, i.e. you barely spent your own name right. I've never heard of a G grade |

Skipping the country is a way to shirk off paying your loans back. In England we have a policy that if you do not earn enough money to pay back the loans, then in 25 years they are cancelled. So, I might just stay out here for the next quarter of a century...

That's what it is at colleges in the US. A B C D E F U.
See the cryptic message?
Anyway, U at my college (and probably all others) means an incompleted class (or "unofficial withdrawal"). Like if you got kicked out of the class for smoking marijuana in class or flicking off the teacher. I think the usual reason for a U is for excessive absences. U is factored into your GPA as an F so it sucks for you.

nope, there is a G grade here, but it's probably worse than not having taken the subject and having no grade, hahaha. U stands for Unclassified and is the only grade which is a fail at GCSE. |

Over here, in high school at least, U is exactly the same as F. I forget what it stands for, but they use it because they think fail is too harsh or something. |
