we may...we have a few times before. the people there make it weird and fun. we went to some club and the girls there danced all round crazy-like. i can't describe the night right but it was fun. let me know if you want some mp3's or look in magnet this month or a magazine called resonance to read some crappy stuff about us. okay shutup. i hate self promotions....but i do want to meet up with some fellow fb.net members for fun some day. i appreciate what this site is and what it will be. ryan |

Dave, my wife and I visited your fine isle Aug 15-20. Had a great time. Best Hunan food I've had outside of San Francisco. I love Canada but Christ they tax you guys to death. 14.5% added after GST/PST. Our rental car cost almost doubled after the taxes and fees were added on. |

Yeah, but if you'd been shot they wouldn't have just shoveled you off the side of the street.

To be fair, BLT, the west coast in general (and the island in particular) are not the cheapest places to live in this country of ours. But certainly among the more gorgeous areas. |

Dave, we can get back the GST taxes (but only on purchases of goods and lodging over $50 each). So we'll get a little back, but we didn't spend $50 in many places.
I didn't really figure BC was the cheapest place to live (like California). And Victoria sorta reminds me of San Francisco in miniature. Lots of character, good restaurants, and plenty of panhandlers.
Sorry I didn't look you up Dave. |

Yeah, I'd like to check out San Fran sometime, especially if it's a bigger (and probably more hilly) version of Victoria. |

if you go to San Francisco be sure to go to the sutro baths. it's right at the beach and it's where the DITS pictures are from. and the movie harold and maude filmed a scene. ryan |

Well...I think his link expalins the baths fairly well.... the picture on the website is where they did the cover for DITS. what you can't see behind and under the photographer are the small caves and cliffs and the stairs and rails where most of the other photos for the shoot were taken. the back cover of DITS shows the cliff the websites photo was taken from. the 12 little sqaures are the remains of some of the baths that were like hot tubs. i used to go there all the time when i lived up there and walk around. does anyone have a good link for this photo shoot now that i think of it? i found this one, but it's only one photo:
