Dear friends:
Gay history? i never heard something more stupid in my life. homosexuality is as old as normal. it is said that Julius Caesar was a man to every woman and a woman for every man, and he was a very brave man. I understand what some gay groups do here, goi to schools and talk with children about homosexuality in order to make it a normal thing, but inventing a Gay history? oihh that is too much. it is tiring to have to bear other peoples sexual questions, i prefer to keep my sexual life in privacy and i am not homophobic. i think that trying to normalize things is good but too much stress on these matters make me think if they are making us look the other way from more important questions

get me to lemouria
and vaya usted con Dios.

the problem with talking with young kids about homosexuality is the early sexualisation of kids, where you see these six year old girls wearing tight, low-cut tops and trousers or mini-skirts, and sometimes make-up and ear-piercings.
though i do realise you mean teenage kids, i've got to kind of repeat what i've just said. okay, at around 15 or 16 i think it's okay to try to be 'sexy' or whatever, but 10? ick. at it always seems to be a younger age each year for this.
sorry if i seem a prude, but i don't think children should have to think of such a thing as sex.

There is a gay community with a history. Ergo gay histoy. What's so stupid about that?

La Sezna Kids sells thong underwear for kids, like 6-8yrs old. Ke-riste.

It's a very delicate situation with kids and sexuality.....if you tell them 'they can't dress that way', you are basically putting the onus on them, which is grossly inappropriate. Children should be able to wear what they want and celebrate their bodies, dreams, and desires, and not risk abuse from some degenerate.

However, there are degenerates..i haven't come up with a solution.

(I live with a 9yr old and her family, and her mom belly-dances...she says to her mom 'you're so beautiful when you do that, and wear those clothes!' It's a real innocence there, a different appreciation for the human body... But of course, she could never wear stull like that out and around.)

Society is so fucked up. We celebrate the degenerates. =(

It doesn't help when you get people like Britney Spears who was originally targeted at preteen girls and then totally whores out after. Same with Christina Aguellara (sp?), that dirty video is way too much. Then there's the whole Barbie thing, my daughter wants one so bad and I really don't want to buy her one. I might have to go find the least slutty barbie, I don't know.

I hate those things too, they don't even have any feet just these knobby things b/c it would be too difficult to change their humungo platform boots otherwise.

Kelly, jeez Jessie I thought you'd remember a doll named Kelly. My daughter has those, just not the Barbie yet, but its only so long until peer pressure gets her.

Y'know, you can actually teach little kids tolerance w/out ever having to talk graphically about sex, Jessie. My daughter's only four, but she already knows that there are lots of different ways that families are created and that, although most couples are made a man and a woman, there are others that are made up of two men or two women and that people should be free to be with whomever they love, male or female. Kids are naturally curious and tolerant, and if you can teach them to expect & appreciate diversity at an early age, those are lessons that will stay with them for life.

Yeah, these are all good topics, but how do you teach a kid about vegetarianism and eating meat?

Simple... a child should be permitted to eat whatever he or she wants. Do not weigh your kid down with the rigid rules of societal conformity. If your kids eats his/her booger, do not tell them they shouldn't. Booger-eating is a healthy choice in the post-modern global community.

I'm waiting for Dave to jump in and give statistics about how boogers REALLY ARE more healthy than meat.

Just kidding, Dave. I couldn't resist.

Dear friends:
have any fo you read Bocaccio's Decameron.
plato was homexual and philosophy states that men are fo love ando women fo procreating, probably the ancient were wiser than we are and homosexuality was
anromal thing in ancint cultures and today is so troublesome for us.I come from a country where all this things are kept in privacy and eliminating gay jokes may be a good goal. in spain there is a politician called Mendiluce who admited his homosexuality just to win some votes, the longest thing this dude has had in his mouth is under Oscar Mayer trademark, he called himself "imperfect Homosexual" maybe his wife can clarify

heh.. Well..boogers are a good source of protein... =P

The kid i live with eats what she wants when she wants, and it's utter CRAP.

However, she is mostly veggie by choice, and cries for days if she sees pics from slaughterhouses, until her parents lie to her and tell her it doesn't happen like that very often or something.. =(
