| Tomorrow's our 12th anniversary, so we're taking a couple of days off and running away to Memphis with the kid. Any dining recommendations from those of you who know the town? |

| I lived in Memphis for 6 years and still go there a lot, but I don't know of any good resturaunts. Actually, I don't know why the Hell you would want to go to Memphis out of all the other places you could go. You should go to Nashville or Gatlinburg |

Thanks, guys! We nearly broiled ourselves at the Memphis Zoo today, but it was still a good time. Am I the only one who thinks the pyramid looks stupid?
Adrian--why Memphis? 'Cause it's only 2.5 hours in a car with a small child as opposed to 6.5 hours to Nashville and we had a mere 36 hours to kill. Also, there's lots of fun little kid stuff to do there. Nashville will be good when she gets older, though.

Nah, I haven't disowned you guys. I've just been taking a little break from the board. The negativity here is off the charts right now, and I'm hoping it will die down some once SMYT is released and everyone has new, fun things to talk about.
Oh, and the trip was great. But short. And HOT. The weather's miserable down here right now. The food was so-so, but we'll do better next time. We want to go back and do the cheesy Graceland thing once Z gets a little older. (I did tell her that Memphis is the birthplace of rock n roll, and she asked me if Little Richard was born there. Crazy kid. She loves some Little Richard.) |

Yeah, the board is a little bored. If nothing else, SMYT will stop the whole piracy vs. preview debate for awhile. It has been pretty frustrating at times, though, which is not to excuse myself from any negativity I may have brought forth, but just to say I do agree.
If the weather's miserable, that's a perfect time to pop by Graceland. Wait 'till it's cloudy, grey, raining, and the wind is blowing leaves through the air, pull up to Graceland as lightning strikes, all the while playing His Kingly Cave. That'd be kind of awesome. Or really geeky. But definitely one or the other.
On an unrelated note, I think I may wait for Zelda... what do I have, about 15 years? :) Plus, being able to call her 'Z' is cool. I'm asking for your blessing in advance. :) |
