Maybe Dave and DruggedBunny should start the supplementary thread to the Best Overreactions one called "Make-Up Sex," which entails the two antagonists left alone to have uninhibited and unrequited oral computer sex until they can get along. Whaddyou think? |

Stuart: I live in a remote, backwards, in-bred fishing village in Fife.
Glacial: "Make-Up Sex" sounds like something involving eyeliner and lipstick. Could get messy.

No, it would be the kind of sex where you and Dave realize that, despite all the little tiffs and quarrels you guys go through, you really love each other on a deep, meaningful level, and you can't live without each other. Then you have really rampant, passionate XXX-rated sex. You guys CAN use make-up if you want. But, since you are called DruggedBunny, you do sound a little bit more like the submissive one than Dave... |

Dave and DruggedBunny were THE first two people to post on this forum last September. Wouldn't that make them "post-brothers" or something? How could you possibly stay mad at your post-brother?
When the hell is CBS gonna do a Murphy Brown reunion? |

this is by far NOT one of the best, but it is the only that personally happened to me that i thought was funny. i started a thread the other day about how i didn't think SMYT was frank's best but i like it. i just wanted everyone elses opinions....so here's what i wrote and i included that i am not a horn fan really so the album lost points for me personally for having them:
quote: Originally posted by noexx
okay.....so many peoples here have stated how they feel that SMYT is the best frank black album to date. i don't see it myself. it is a great album but definitely not my personal favorite. i mean the horns alone drop it a few points in comparison to the many others. i could go in depth as to why it doesn't beat some other releases, but i'll save you your valuable reading time. so i want to see some good arguments for why it is or isn't the best release...... let it all loose here.....i don't mind. ryan
then the one contender replied with this:
quote: Originally posted by theonecontender
I don't think it's the best either. However, it is an amazing album which is, in my opinion, right up there with their greatest (DITS/TOTY/I like Frank).
Unfortunately, what makes your post lose credit is the fact that you deduct points for horns being used. This, my friend, is strange. We are talking about music here.. not how to make up your bunk in U.S. marines. Horns can stay. Noexx can go.
1c
i may be wrong but if 'we're talking about music here' does that mean frank can have the guitar player from limp bizkit do a wicked rap-metal solo on an album of his and it's okay to me because it's just music? (maybe that is an over reaction?) i especially love the military comment. i was trying to get opinions on a record but instead i got one on my initial post. hehe. i like it though.

All right, I dug through the archives for this one, my personal favorite:
This was my original post:
This might not warrant a post, but oh well.
I made my sister a Frank Black tape and put Gouge Away on it (to prep for a concert) and she really liked all the songs but Gouge Away. She said the only reason she doesn't like it is because he starts singing right away, the rest of the song is very good. I just found that really strange because in concert he doesn't start singing right away, there's that big 2-minute intro. Kind of a weird coincidence, ¿no? Anyway, did anyone else find it bothersome that Frank starts singing right off the bat, I actually find the studio version of Gouge Away to be an example of a perfect song, but I like the epic touches it gets in concert as well.
This was Ebb Vicious's reply:
i hope your sister is like 12, otherwise she's an imbecile.
'i didn't like this song because he sings at 2:16. i don't like it when people sing from 2:14 to 2:22 in a song.'
oi vey, of all the assinine bullshit reasons i've ever heard for not liking something. if my sister had said that to me i'd have clocked her upside the head. |
