| They don't it for me. I need to give the record more than just a cursory listen, but first impression is there's not much going on, and Karen O's vocals aren't that inspiring. That said, I do need to listen to it again. Have you heard the new ep? |

I'm a fan. Spiky, edgy indie/pop. I actually like them best when they are at their most throwaway (Bang, Pin, Date With The Night) but the more substantial stuff is decent too. they blew me away when I saw them live, though they've been pretty uninspiring in TV appearances I've seen. Really cool people too - I met them and got stuff signed :D

the video for pin is cool.:) especially when she's huggin that bug!
i was a bit sceptical about them at first cos they seemed to just be another NME band but..they're okay. maps is a nice song, from such a crazy band.
bored of the little comments. i guess i'll just have an actual signature. much shorter.

Just thought I'd bring this topic back up. Without actually hearing them, I passed judgement on them for being lame just by their image. I was expecting some sort of lame attempt at a late 70s punk band etc., but i listened to Fever To Tell and I was very impressed...I certainly dig it, it's an excellent album. My favorite track is "Man." Good shit.

| I have reallly gotten addicted to FEVER TO TELL, I am playing it at home all the time. If they are so much better live then on CD, I am pretty sure I would love them live. So far BLACK TONGUE, MAPS and RICH are my favorites. Thanks for bringing the topic back, Jim! |
