I just saw both of these movies for the first time and I loved them both. Floop, you seen 'em? any thoughts?

| I saw Punch Drunk Love in the theatre and it drove me crazy...it made my mind race in an insane way and made me feel overall weird. I don't think a movie has ever physically affected me like that...I think the point is to make you feel like Adam Sandlar's character and they pulled it off. It was a really good movie, and I definitely wanna see it again. |

i enjoyed PUNCH DRUNK LOVE, despite all the negative advance reviews.. my feeling on PUNCH DRUNK LOVE was, it was really interesting and i'm glad i went to see it, but i don't know if i'd want to see it again anytime soon.. (that was my feeling at the time, i'd probably be up for seeing it again now)..
watching PUNCH DRUNK LOVE is like (what i think it would be like) being inside an Adam Sandler movie while having a really bad acid trip. i'm sure there are tons of people who went to see that expecting a dumb adam sandler comedy and came out (or left early) thinking "what the fuck?".. it's pretty disturbing (in a good way)..
IGBY GOES DOWN on the other hand, i absolutely fucking hated (hate to say it). i felt like it was trying to rip off Wes Anderson too much, and i have no sympathy for annoying, spoiled rich kids.. i just found the main character totally annoying, along with almost everyone in the film. honestly, it's been a while since i HATED a film that much (as opposed to feeling bored or indiffferent)..
what else have you seen? i haven't seen anything in so long.. |

wow Floop
um, the acid trip metaphor is perfect. I was crying becuase I was so sad so many times during the movie and at the same time I was laughing at how absurd his character is.
I loved the writing. I loved all the swearing parts the most and when he would freak out and break shit. And he really was a real person almost, no wacky voice or anything like usual.
I haven't seen anything else new for so long either, I just felt like going to BBV. I did see one hour photo not too long ago and wasn't really impressed.
I saw new Matrix at the drive in the another night. I was so drunk. And that white rapper movie too. Matrix was same as first one, except it was more Star Wars on crack. I loved the CGI shit and fight scenes but I could care less about Zion.
What I want to see past, present, future are:
Jersey Girl - the new k.smith movie
Daredevil
Hulk
T3
Both new Lord of the Rings, I only saw first one
that Tom Hanks/Decaprio movie
still never saw
Pianist
Gangs of New york
I don't know.
I want to see all the big money cheesy flicks
like

You are one of my main sources for underground movies or less popular ones anyhoo.
As far as IGBY, I just think Keirnan or whatever his name is kicks ass. But I see your point. I think I look like him too. I don't know why I am sympathetic to a kid with that much money when Ihaave 12$ in my bank account. I guess I am depressed or something. I like sad shit. I liked it. It made me cry and think weird shit. Anyhoo...
