hello guys, I'm new to this forum....on some interent sites I've seen a cd called "T.B.A." dated 98 or 99, probably a Japan import, and since there is no track listing I was wondering what it was...any clue?
thanks

T.B.A. is the title of this cd, and those sites that sell it don't show the cover nor give track listing...it can't be "to be announced" because it is reported that the cd was published in 98. Don't you guys let me buy it just to find out what it is!!! (it's not even cheap!)

it may be that it is the Frank Black and The Catholics' eponymous album, and whoever it is that is selling it has just catagorized it as TBA because they have no other term to classify it with.

that may be a good guess...if you guys want to check it out, they sell it at www.phydos.com and www.link-records.com then search for Frank Black.

It's definitely not something we have not heard...Quattro Records could be a foreign label which handles his distribution in that particular country.

Stuff like that shows up on internet mailorder catalogs a lot.

It's a release that was entered into the catalog before a title was available. And when the catalog was updated, the new release was added but for whatever reason the "TBA" ("to be announced") wasn't removed.

Sometimes the "TBA" is something that never came out (like a single that ended up not happening), but no one removed it from the catalog.

Look up about 5 different bands with worldwide presences on those sites and you'll probably find a "TBA" or two in their listings as well.

Being a japanese import T.B.A 98 it should be pistolero.Only difference with the normal version is an extra track "valley of our hope".You can find the Quattro label catalogue at www.net-flyer.com the search is in japanese though.

Perhaps you refer to the album "Sunny Sunday Mill Valley Groove Day," which I hear was shelved though a masterpiece.

Yes it was but since it is given as TBA in 1998 i think they are talking about the future album at that period.Anyway considering the price it's either that or the '98 self tittled Double Cd(jap import),nothing really rare or never heard before....

It's definitely not SSMVGD. For one, that was recorded in 99 or 2000, and for two, it was never to the point of "almost being released."
