If we were to seriously vote on the best name, the ones that use exact FB song titles and lyrics shouldn't even be considered as nominees because it isn't very creative. My apologies to about 85% of the people on this forum for offending your creativity. I'm not saying my name is any better than The Swimmer, Mr Grieves, Creature Crawling, Broken Face, Bartholomew, etc., but we could make a 200 minute mix album of all the song titles people use as user names. That's how many of you appleheads there are!

Well Mr AddageBreakfastGrain :D I agree it doesn't take a great deal of creativity to use Mr Black's Intelectual Property as a handle, however this being a Frank Black site I think it's fun to see what songs or lyrics people relate to or find amusing enough to use as a handle. It often gives them a little character of the song as well, for me, while reading their posts.
To think I take the notion of an Internet Forum board handle seriously enough to use the said handle "Creature Crawling" on any other forum (or anywhere else for that matter) is pretty ridiculous. I chose mine because I'm lurking around here reading more than I'm actually posting. It is simply a moniker on this board. If you were to visit any of the other forums I belong to, you find the names to be equally related to the topic of that board. That may provide you some insight as to why us appleheads use such handles. :D
So as for Applehead names, I like "Therewererumors" for me I've always liked that little exchange of conversation between Frank and Kim, and think it's funny someone else did enough to use it as their handle.
For non-Applehead names, in order to not appear too low brow for our Tab producing Grain, I have to agree with The Holiday Son and go with Atheist4Catholics.

Aw, thanks. That's me--elitist & corny! It was the only name I could think of that neatly combined weirdo theatre/music/motherhood for me.
I've been carrying a copy of the Dionysus pamphlet in my purse. Next time someone hands me some piece of religious literature, I'll have something to give them back!
I was singing the Puking Song just last week--my kid had a stomach virus, and it just makes that sort of clean-up job a little easier if you can sing, "Waking up to the smell of spew makes me shout I LOVE YOUUUUU!!" Good times. |

This topic is funny. And on the user names issue, what the hell is a MIRV? It's a band I assume because MIRV seemed to mention that MIRV is a good band. I think MIRV has got to be the most annoying name on this board, but that could just be because of his reputation.
So is it an acronym? If it isn't, it seems like it needs another vowel. Like Mirve, or Mirvy, Mirvo, or Mirvana
