its not an amazingly funny film in terms of scenarious - but the dialogue is absolutely fantastic. well recommended. I demand to have some booze!

I just want to add my support to the sentiment that 'So I Married An Axe-Murderer' is an underrated film, it's got a half-decent soundtrack too.

In the order I typed them:

Blazing Saddles (1974) Directed by Mel Brooks and starring Cleavon Little.

Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) Directed by Frank Capra and starring Cary Grant.

The Castle (1997) Directed by Rob Sitch and starring Michael Caton.

Safety Last (1923) Directed by Fred C. Newmeyer & Sam Taylor and starring Harold Lloyd.

Bullets Over Broadway (1994) Directed by Woody Allen and starring John Cusack (and Jennifer Tilly - yummy yummy yum yum!).

Beverly Hills Cop (1984) Directed by Martin Brest and starring Eddie Murphy.

Some Like It Hot (1959) Directed by Billy Wilder and starring Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis and Marilyn Monroe.

Bad Taste (1987) Directed by Peter Jackson and starring Terry Potter and Peter Jackson (twice).

And of course...

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) Directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring Peter Sellers (three times) and George C. Scott, Sterling Hayden, Keenan Wynn, Slim Pickens and James Earl Jones!

Peace, Love and Thud.

Kenny-Sue.

I thought the movie was brilliant and hilarious the first time I saw it.

What's weird is, the second I saw the movie it just didn't have the same affect on me. Maybe its because I saw the jokes coming and the whacked-out premise just wasn't as whacky when you already know it through and through.

I think its a great film, but I don't know if it stand the test of repeated viewings and still be as funny as the first time you see it.

Some comedies are funny the first time and never again, as in "Dirty Work", which is a bad movie, but was fairly amusing on first viewing. The second time, I don't think I laughed once. Other movies, like Rushomre and Meet the Parents and Clerks get funnier every time I see them. It's like a Frank Black record. The more I listen, the more I like it.

Wow Velvety,
I was trying to find this Punch-Drunk love and I couldn't find it anywhere. I rented some Sundance or Cannes FilmFestival winner movie (my usual Friday night plans)and it was one of the previews. So do you know when it came out, I wonder how I didn't know about another Adam Sandler movie.

I'm saying it again, my fave comedy has got to be Oh Brother Where art Thou. Has nobody seen it?

O Brother Where art Thou is a great film. I really enjoyed it, great soundtrack, great performance by George Clooney, and the other two who's names have left me, are really good as well. A fine bit of film making, that.

Punch Drunk Love is a pretty good moive as well. It came out a few months ago or late last year I beleive. Emily Watson is always a treat, and Adam actually plays very well in the film. It's fairly innocuous and isn't particularly relevatory or anything, but a nice little picture with a few laughs. Neurotic people are always interesting to watch.

How about those wacky Zucker Bros? Airplane is a classic. Others would be: Caddyshack of course. The Jerk w/S.Martin, Young Frankenstein, all the Python stuff, just to name a few...

John Turturro was great in that. So was the other guy who played their stupid cohort (who's name escapes me.)
I actually saw "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" for the very first time a few weeks ago and I really liked it.

Nobodies mentioned Woody Allen. I'm too tired to go into his genius and all the hilarious films he made but one of my favorite quotes is "my mother-in-law called me a pervert because I drank all the water out of our waterbed" from Sleepers.

I really like most of them, but my favorite may be Take The Money and Run. "He had no concept of the instrument. He was blowing into it."

Thats an hilarious film, especially the bit when he's playing in the marching band and he has to sit on his chair to play his instrument. Play It Again Sam and Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex (but where afraid to ask) are really good as well.

Marx Brothers any one?

''Hello, I must be going''

''Marry me and I never look at another horse!''

''I never forget a face, but in your case I'm glad to make an exception''

very good

I also have a weak spot for 'Space Balls'
I realise it isn't a very good film, but I burst out laughing every time I see it...

And sorry, but Brain Candy had to be one of the most disappointing movies I ever saw. I loved The Kids in the Hall TV show, about as much as I loved SCTV, but Brain Candy seemed so flat to me. The only part I laughed at was when McCullough informed his tall girlfriend (McKinney) that he had slept with her sister. When she went off on him, he said, "Baby! Don't shoot the messanger!" Now that's quick thinking.
