Ghosts of Mars is surely the worst film I have ever seen
Those 2 films are Carpenter, and thus Cinema, at his best!
It's exactly like Star Wars.
They're films for kids (whatever their age!It's fun, It's entertainment.
Well me too like entertaining films and i'm a Carpenter fan but Ghosts of Mars and Vampires suck...They only repeat worn out cliches...
Star wars was fun 'cause it was new and different,the new episodes suck,it's not entertainment anymore but business aimed to rip off kids of all ages...Look at what new sci-fi and horror films have become.Special fx , old seen and re-seen storylines and horrible actors that's about it...Examples?The Mummy,Supernova,Mission to Mars,Event Horizon,Wing Commander (one of the worst movies ever..)etc etc...Even Matrix reloaded though they spent 3 times as the first episode gets close to be entertaining as the first one...

Get "Stalker"too.Great film,with less fx than solaris that is cool cause the Soviet special fx people weren't that good...A more interesting story too...

I always forget about The Black Hole. I love that film even though it scared the shit out of me when I was a kid, Maxillian is so scary!
