Just saw them live in Boston and it was a really nice show/atmosphere. A good time, it was my first time seeing Malkmus live and I wasn't expecting much (for some reason) but I got a nice treat. I'd recomend seeing The Jicks live if you get the chance.
i've saw them twice when they came to the uk in april. i was expecting sm to be a prick, i had heard stories of him being unfriendly and condesending but he was very engaging. apart from him "forgetting" how to play hook they were both good shows. i also saw blur last saturday and they were amazing. i expected damon to be quite somber and bombard uss with anti war slogans but he was really energetic and interacted with the crowd alot. Evan dando was good as well, except for his fringe.
i was supposed to go see him in nyc on wed but my girlfriend was graduating college so i had chose the girlfriend. it was worth it, but i'm pissed i missed malk
