are the people who make rugrats obsessed with the pixies or something? two of the characters are called chuckie and kimmy. or is it just a terrible coincidence? ah, and i got Cult of Ray and Devil's Workshop this week and havent stopped playin them! i like them so much more than fb and toty, but i will probably like em later, like when i didnt like doolittle, then i loved trompe and then i loved doolittle type thing.

Cult was one of the last Frank albums I picked up, and I was fucking blown away. And I wasn't overly impressed when I first heard Devil's Workshop, but i love it now! Goes to show how Frank's music always has this uncanny potential to grow on you. |

Who's Kimmy? Would've been funnier if they had named Angelica Kimmy or something... :) |

kimmy is chuckie's stepsister i think. she's crazy lookin! cult of ray and 'workshop aint been off my stereo since. i'm so happy frank wrote words to velvety instumental version! i saw 'velvety' was on it before i got it, and i guessed it was it, and its so great! it really changes it. and 'mosh, dont pass the guy' is such a freakin cool name for a song!

I dont know if Arlene Klasky and Gabor Csupo (the creators of Rugrats, and pretty much half the other stuff on Nickelodeon, not to mention the long-missed Duckman) are particularly Pixies fans, but they overall have demonstrated a healthy taste in music. Mark Mothersbaugh does a lot of the music for most of their series, they get people like Flea to do some of the voices, and Dweezil Zappa was the voice of Duckman's dim-witted son (and used a lot of FZ's music as incidental stuff). So they're definitely tuned in. |
