I saw Mike Watt and the Secondmen last night in Brooklyn, and it reminded me why Watt has been around so long - because he's the fucking man. i've interviewed him over the phone before, and he remembered me after the show and was incredibly nice. the new material sounded great, as did the covers/older Watt stuff. truly an amazing live show and an amazing man

i've seen watt on five consecutive tours - he never fails to blow me away. it's one of the best rock shows you'll ever attend. and - you're right - he is one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet.

I saw him last year at Fry Street Fair near Dallas.

He came on right after the Polyphonic Spree and right before Frank Black. :D

that was a good day.
