                      | The Big Galoof needs your help.
I'm right on the brink of buying the two Reeves Gabrels discs which feature "119 Years Ago" and "Jewel" - two very solid FB guest appearances which I've only ever heard as miserable, squishy MP3s - and I'd like to avoid the ~40 dollar expense if I can.

In putting together a comprehensive FB b-sides, and generally non-album compilation, I've decided that I need better sounding versions of these two tracks. Here's where your help comes in: anyone who owns or has access to both of these two commercially-pressed Gabrels CDs needs to get in touch with me so that we can do a trade.

This FB comp is going to be a top-notch, two disc set featuring lots of his best non-album tracks and custom artwork designed by yours truly. A copy of the finished product can be yours - if your can swing me the missing tracks!

I've gone so far as to buy the Mike Watt 7" which has "The Big Bang Theory" as a b-side, so I could capture a high-quality version of that stellar track. You can tell I'm serious. Desperate even.

Any and all takers, reply to big[underscore]galoof[at symbol]hotmail[dot]com.

Your combined, massive, and globe-spanning help is much appreciated.

 John

                      | looked on morpheus last night and found the same old MP3 that i'm trying to avoid. also checked gabrels' official site and artistdirect.com - it doesn't seem like he's selling the songs individually anymore. thanks for the advice, though.
so i'm still at square zero here folks. help an old galoof out, wouldya?
