Pump Up The Volume: Wave Of Mutilation
and there's a french film called Albert Souffre which has a couple of Pixies songs in the soundtrack. And I just found out this list on the net:
A Matter of Degrees (Director: W.T. Morgan, 1990): Where Is My Mind?
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me (Director: Joel Hirshman, 1992): La La Love You
Singles (Director: Cameron Crowe, 1992): Dig For Fire
Empire Records (Director: Allan Moyle, 1995): Free - the Martinis

It's not in the actual movie, of course, but the trailer for Woody Allen's Deconstructing Harry has "La La Love You" running beneath it.

i found this on planet of the pixies

'Here Comes Your Man' is in "Say It Isn't
So," and

"Thank You,Good Night."

For good measure, the Breeders have a song on "The Mod
Squad" soundtrack. "Cannonball" can be found in both
'Moonlight & Valentino' and 'Snatch,' as well as
'Sugar & Spice' as well as 'A Walk to Remember.'

Snatch? yeah I have to question that one myself. Hmm, perhaps it's on the soundtrack but not actually in the movie? maybe.

as i said that's from planet of the pixies last month, some lad called jim posted it, he seemed like a fairly reliable source i must add, i deleted the stuff he repeated that was mentioned earlier on this thread, which was all correct, his air was one of someone more confident of his breeders knowledge than that of the pixies. he mentioned that some of the movie songs weren't available on the soundtrack cd

I had caught the end of a crappy early 90s comedy on Comedy Central which ended, going to credits with "Isla de Encanta", and proceeded to play the entire song well into the credits.

I have no idea what movie this was, it seemed like a pretty forgettable movie that Comedy Central would show on a weekend afternoon.

The movie in question (Isla De Encanta) is "Married to the Mob" by Jonathan Demme. He has really good taste in music, check out Buffalo Bill's music selections in "Silence of the Lambs" or, obviously, "Stop Making Sense"

An episode of Gilmore Girls recently (I think last week or 2 weeks ago) mentioned the Pixies. This one girl who plays in a band was talking on the phone and said something along the lines of "I can't believe you didn't know that Kim Deal was in The Pixies before The Breeders." Later in the show, this other girl is listening to Tom Waits in her room, and this other girl walks in and they talk about him for a few. What a hip show!

apparently, kim deal also made an appearance on buffy the vampire slayer. i think she's trying to cash in on the 9-14 year old girl power scene.

Man, Haiku Tunnel is such a great movie. My wife and I watched it just before we got married, been meaning to rent it again.

Like someone said, "Debaser" plays in its entirety over the first few minutes of the movie. Also, in several scenes, the main actor (who also wrote the movie, I think) is wearing a Pixies t-shirt.

By the way, I just found this forum and this is my first post. Howdy.

well, me thinks Breeders are Buffy fans. I mean, they play the theme from Buffy in concerts!
