Metal Flake Mother's Beyond the Java Sea album is a GREAT Pixies inspired/Pixies-imitating album. Super tuneful and entertaining. It's probably been out of print for years so if you find it, buy it immediately.
Most of the stuff mentioned in this thread doesn't sound anything like the Pixies to me. MFM could fool someone, though.
