Posted - 04/24/2005 : 21:05:53 anyone seen it? frank's favorite flick of 2005. good question floop. i also like hearing what frank's fav books are.
so i watched it tonight. thought it was pretty funny. really enjoy charlie kaufman's movies and reminded me a bit of those- very original. i like the philosophical stuff but still trying to wrap my head around it. the dude from rushmore did a great job as well as marky mark. i hurt my ribs seeing walberg ride his bike with his firefighting gear to the scene...

I also thought Mark Wahlberg's character reminded me of the pics that KSR posted in the bearded thread recently. |

I really enjoyed Garden State. Most people I have talked too enjoyed it too. There is also a nice plug for The Shins in the movie too. |

Posted - 04/25/2005 : 05:43:52 haven't seen garden state. but i did see the corporation last week. a good documentary on capitalism. kind of scary. a few of the ideas relate well to the huckabees.

Posted - 04/25/2005 : 05:40:47 i can see why frank really liked the movie. to me they style of the movie connects to his music. creative, good sense of humour, intelligent, non-mainstream, and interesting ideas woven in with multiple layers. i would need to watch the movie a few more times to gain a better appreciation of all the underlying meanings. but i still really enjoyed the movie and even more after discussing it with the mrs. after the show.
and naomi watts is hot....

Posted - 04/24/2005 : 21:33:18 I've heard some negative stuff about it. I would'nt mind seeing it, I suppose you can be too easily swayed by critics. |
