anyone seen it? frank's favorite flick of 2005. good question floop. i also like hearing what frank's fav books are.

so i watched it tonight. thought it was pretty funny. really enjoy charlie kaufman's movies and reminded me a bit of those- very original. i like the philosophical stuff but still trying to wrap my head around it. the dude from rushmore did a great job as well as marky mark. i hurt my ribs seeing walberg ride his bike with his firefighting gear to the scene...

I've heard some negative stuff about it. I would'nt mind seeing it, I suppose you can be too easily swayed by critics.

Saw it. Mildly overrated IMO, though I can never get enough of Naomi Watts.

She's great in Mulholland Drive, and I can't wait see her in King Kong. She's real purdy, too! ;)

It's released this week over here, but I haven't seen any ads for it. Garden State was released last week, should I go and see it?

i can see why frank really liked the movie. to me they style of the movie connects to his music. creative, good sense of humour, intelligent, non-mainstream, and interesting ideas woven in with multiple layers. i would need to watch the movie a few more times to gain a better appreciation of all the underlying meanings. but i still really enjoyed the movie and even more after discussing it with the mrs. after the show.

and naomi watts is hot....

haven't seen garden state. but i did see the corporation last week. a good documentary on capitalism. kind of scary. a few of the ideas relate well to the huckabees.

If you're a Natalie Portman and/or Zach Braff fan, Garden State is worth seeing. Otherwise...

I loved it. Jon Brion's title song "Knock Yourself Out" is fucking great as well.

Well title song, single I don't know. It's the one they made the video for. It's a hell of a song.

Watched it only last week - I thought Lily Tomlin as Vivian was outstanding.

I also thought Mark Wahlberg's character reminded me of the pics that KSR posted in the bearded thread recently.
