New B-sides/demos compilation coming our way soon. First announced with the launch of the new blackfrancis.net website and now this update from Facebook moments ago:

"Black Francis mastering Abbabubba, a compilation of b-sides, demos, etc. at Jason Carter's Wavelength Studios today...

Not a lot of info to go on so far but hopefully if they are mastering today then it could potentially be realised in the not too distant future, however I don't know how this would fit into the release schedule with Rock Golem & the new Grand Duchy. Which songs would you like to see make an appearance? To start with I would like to see Ghost Coming to make the list.

Discuss.

Did you have a hand in the creation of this artwork pot?

LOL not to the best of my knowledge.

If you turn the disc 90% it looks like a set of lips, which funnily enough it the logic that I also apply to real vaginas.

Yeah, maybe he was right about 3 handed man (shit what was the name of that song? I just SKIPPED nonstoperotik, I'm 100% into the golem rock edit)

I feel guilty playing this disc without buying it dinner and drinks first.

ccuadros Posted - 10/18/2010 : 13:42:23
i just listened, it´s ok, isn´t as comparable as an odballs, but it´s ok for me, some good songs but I didn´t like the remixes, when bf will record a version of dead man´s curve with the balls of the live version???
ccuadros Posted - 10/18/2010 : 13:23:40
got my copy!

mmm the cd art is the thing that I´m thinking???!!
MMD Posted - 10/07/2010 : 07:22:53
Looks like it is a CR-r. It smells like one and I googled some of the numbers on it and found 2 other albums which have the same Matrix Number (Inner Ring): C0609T MBI 80UG and under format for both they state: CDr.

The disc label does seem to have some relief to it though.

It's a cd-r.

it's educational
Grotesque Posted - 10/06/2010 : 15:37:31
Well, do you think it's a cdr?
MMD Posted - 10/06/2010 : 13:03:38

A cdr? That's strange. The cd prices are so cheap today it's not really usefull to use duplication rather than pressing.
I dont know in the USA but now in Europe you make 1000 cds for about 300 euros including impression, and that's way safer than a cdr.

the cheapest I found was 500 cd's for 770 euros. That was including digipack though

BF: Mag ik Engels spreken?

MPO makes you 1000 real cds (and printed quite well) without packaging for 400 euros. I dont need the packaging cos i make it myself...
But it seems you have to negociate the price. And that was a year ago.
Sorry i exagerated a bit with 300 euros (i never remember prices and number)

No surprises? Well I'd say the artwork on the CD was quite a surprise...

'got mine today.
some great songs or great versions (except the seus remixes to my mind).
but cd do not seems to be a silver one but a printed cdr.
matto Posted - 09/28/2010 : 04:35:28
Arrived yesterday, nice compilation. No surprises for the folks here who've been paying too much attention to the one-offs released on MySpace, et al. Definitely for fans... some iffy demo quality there. Why Virginia Reel wasn't an album track is mystifying. Bring on more Bureau releases!

I wonder if it's the version of 'Il Cuchaiao' that was recorded by the 2007 touring band.

a little late to the party, but wanted to mention (in case you aren't aware) that RMTB is in actual fact a They Might Be Giants song, from their brilliant "Flood" album.
