Yea, I think Feldman's at the party. I don't know who else. Probably the Pixies. OMIACC, look around Nashville, is RichG in town? I hope he's in LA.

Hmmm...time with my family. They have been waiting for me to get off the road for some time now. I have missed them terribly. Not a lot of touring coming up. Happy about that. Watching jazz documentaries with the little ones. Now that's a good night! Write some songs I guess. Been talking to Feldman 'bout making a record. Yeah. Overdue. Feldman.

It used to be really cool when Frank and Catholics were together and toured, because a good 60% of their shows showcased upcoming, unreleased material. Some people didn't like it because they didn't know what the heck the songs were. I loved it...hung on every note, every word...now that's good self-promotion. Normally artists (well, mainstream popular 'artists') won't play anything new until the record is on the shelves. I really don't know what I'm rambling about. I think I am still drunk. Bye.

All this braggig/praising/promising concerning the new songs is getting somewhat hard to bear, I have to admit.
Ok, to some extend, this might be envy speaking here, and I can imagine the euphoria you all must feel listening to new unreleased stuff of the man. And I appreciate all the information you coose to share.
But still... When it comes to forming opinions, the onesidedness of this is a bit frustrating.
And it's still at least about four more months till the release.
Ah well... patience IS a virtue, I guess. |

I'm having trouble keeping the sessions apart, but I believe Honeycomb wasn't recorded in one night. The session after it was recorded in one night. Honeycomb took like 3 days (correct me if I'm wrong). Besides that, Honeycomb 2 was going to be a double disc once, then it was back to 1 disc and now it's two discs again? I'm getting tired, just release the damn thing. It's starting to sound like 'Get Back' or 'Smile '67'

New Pixies? Bad News. I was okay with the reunion (if he needed the money, I could understand), but a new album is scaring the feces out of me.
Ah well. They many ruin their idealistic integrity of a band who only put out great records, but at least those great records will never become less great. It's not like the melody of "Alec Eiffel" can change a note or two. Something on which for me to fall back. |
