Yea, I think Feldman's at the party. I don't know who else. Probably the Pixies. OMIACC, look around Nashville, is RichG in town? I hope he's in LA.

Hmmm...time with my family. They have been waiting for me to get off the road for some time now. I have missed them terribly. Not a lot of touring coming up. Happy about that. Watching jazz documentaries with the little ones. Now that's a good night! Write some songs I guess. Been talking to Feldman 'bout making a record. Yeah. Overdue. Feldman.

Hey good thread scruvs

I like the way you used The Man's reply to scruvs' post at the "King Holds Court"
to support your theory...Very nice!

Yeah, I'll check around Guitar Town, see if The Duke of Fender is here,
but...

he's probably there, I mean, you know, he and The Man have stayed tight, Rich went out to
LA for Jack's birth party, and Rich played on quite a few of the songs that Frank
recorded here at Cowboy Jack's "Cowboy Arms Hotel and Recording Spa" in September 2005.

So, yeah, I bet you're right about that. You oughta be right about that.
The Duke's an excellent choice for "guitar right".

This is fantastic news, even though it's not official confirmation of anything. It's funny, scruvs, I thought of that Frank comment about EDF when I read the news.

Oh 2006 is turning out better and better. First there's the HC2 tracklisting and now news of FB recording with Catholics, Pixies, EDF, anybody or everybody. Can it get a better FB wise? Yes, let's see these albums on the shelves.

Hey Hey Hey Heywood, My guess would be that Lyle charted again for The Man's new LA sessions.

As you recall, it was Lyle that The Man turned to when He had some new Nashville material
(Nashville2) that He wanted to record when He and His old band
were playing the Ryman here in Guitar Town Oct 2004.

This LA thing sounds like The Man's songwriting MOJO is overflowing and He needs to get
in the studio and get it all out.

I think Lyle's the man that The Man turns to in situations like these to chart out His new stuff prior to going into the studio so as not to waste time and focus...

Wonder who's producing? The Man doesn't like to produce Himself anymore, you know.

Lyle's not the only one. I think Frank's early collaborations with EDF had more significance on those two albums than Lyle. no burn on Lyle..

Well sure, Eric produced the Orange album and TOTY, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him looking over the engineer's shoulder on this one too.

But, I'd still guess that Lyle's been included in some way, and probably doing some of the grunt work, e.g., charting the parts for the different players.

Oh yeah, and playing "guitar right"

I hope Van Dyke Parks is in it too, I quite like the arrangement of Manitoba.
But this is just namedroping, if I'm really honest I think that Nick Vincent
is the best producer he has worked with. Jon Tiven is quite ok, but I can't really
judge on one album. Stan Ridgeway was also a good producer. How I love the Catholics-records,
time to move on, I guess.

Hey dyperman, why do you say He isn't recording with EDF?

So, your guess of a double album is for the next record released, just adding to the tracklist that you shared here at fb.net? Interesting.

You know, after I read Sir Jon Tiven's post in the Nashville2 thread about "highway to lowdown" and some other things he and The Man were trying to pull off, I thought of either a double album or maybe a couple of singles with non-album tracks included thereon.

Exciting are the times!!!!

he stumbled around whether it was a second album he was working on or an addition to the new one...Man let me tell you this new album will not disappoint anyone on here..I kinda have the feeling he is making a mellow and a harder album and putting them together...just speculation...but I did hear a reference to the album being called Raiderman/Fastman on here somewhere right? Anyway Raiderman is my favorite new one so far but Fastman is quickly gaining speed

Hey dyperman, thanks, we all appreciate this very much!

Yeah, I bet Jack is All That! One year old big boy, I'm sure. And another on the way. Almost, and I emphasize almost, makes me want another one.

So, did He say who He's working with as far as the players (Rich Gilbert, Lyle Workman, et al) and who was producing (Jon Tiven, or someone else), and who was engineering, and where were they recording (anywhere that they've been before?).

I'll gladly keep serving up the questions if you don't mind serving up some more answers.

Thanks.

He is genuinly a kind and tolerant man for putting up with a 40 year old man who acts like hes 16 when it comes to him :)
