Trying to get my son on here...doesn't seem to take new accounts.
Has fb.net become a 1985 Plymouth Horizon?

Haha, somewhat. We still take new accounts but I manually have to verify them (i.e. after registration the user's asked to email me with their account name and date of registration to get around the fact that the server won't send emails). I've had reports that people have been having trouble but I've never been able to duplicate it myself so I don't know what the problem is. Maybe you can help by telling me what message(s) you get in response to trying to register, your browser, etc, etc?

"submit" button on registration just redirects to forum. attempts to post prompt for credentials and then "there has been a problem! invalid username or password"
etc, etc...
he is trying to sign up with id "nodrognai"

FINALLY! I still don't know what's causing it but at least now I can start getting to the bottom of it and debugging.
I can manually make him an account in the meantime, I just need his email... (my email is the initials of my handle @frankblack.net)

Hmmm... I don't like the looks of that. I have been manually adding accounts so this means they were able to bypass that somehow.

I'm not sure if this is a clue. Usually when I get these errors, I ignore them. This at 3:30am CST.

:) yep aside from the 5 spammers and the preop, you are the newest member! There's been no new members since mid '11, for shame.
heh... the png just shows who is online at that moment in time and I guess it's in order of most recent activity. |
