well i have never heard of Forgotten Silver - does that make me a bad kiwi.

but yes tre, i do find the cat scene more disturning than bad boy bubby and his mum bit.
i am a big cat fan, and the "cat wrapped up in gladwrap" bit really disturbed me on ways no other scene in a movie ever has.
of course it was also very funny, but thats ok.

I have to admit, I howled with laughter when he wrapped his cat, fell of the sofa!

He made "The Frighteners" indeed.

I first heard of "Forgotten Silver" on the LOTR DVD - PJ explained that when he was trying to get Alan Lee, the famous Tolkien illustrator, to work on his film, he sent him 2 of his previous movies: "Heavenly Creatures" and "Forgotten Silver". I thought, if he ranks this one as high as "Heavenly Creatures", it must be worth researching.

I think Forgotten Silver is only about an hour long so it's not a proper feature-length film and a Peter Jackson fan can be forgiven for not having heard of it.
