I was hanging out with some cousins of mine yesterday in Ann Arbor, and we ended up at this borderline frat party. You know, the kind where the guys might not be in a frat but they might as well be. There was a game of beer pong being played on the side porch, and there was plenty of "Faggot!" and "You suck cock!" being yelled back and forth between the guys playing. Eventually, the "You suck cock!" must've gotten too much for one guy because a fight broke out, though that was after the beer pong was over with, someone wasn't taking a loss well I guess.
Anyway, a little later on I was standing on the front porch with my two cousins and a few other people. The side porch where they had been playing beer pong was still packed with a bunch of jocks. I was bored and walked out to front of the yard where there was a tree on the grass that is across the sidewalk on city property. I climbed up into it and just sat there. Suddenly, I hear someone yell from the side porch which was in view from the tree, "Hey, get the fuck out of the tree!" I thought they were kidding, but then it was yelled again, from a few different sources. "GET THE FUCK OUTTA THE TREE! YOU'RE GONNA GET THE COPS HERE!" So I jumped out and started heading back to the front porch where my cousins were standing. One guy on the side porch yelled in a commanding voice, "No, you! Get over here right now!" I just shook my head and said, "No" and walked over to the front porch. I said to my cousins, "Well, they're pissed about me being in the tree. One of them is coming out here I'll bet." Sure enough, a moment later, the same guy who had asked me to get over there came bursting through the front door. "You! Who are you here with!?!" I just stared at him. My cousin Laura said, "He's here with Emma," my cousins' roommate. The guy said, "Oh. Hey man, why the fuck were in the tree?" I just said, "Dude, I'm out of the tree now." My cousin Laura chimed in again, "He's over 21, okay." The guy says to me, still REALLY pissed off and assertively, "Look, I don't care if you're 50. You're up in that tree, the cops are going to want to talk to a person who lives here, and that's me!" I said again, "I'm out of the tree, man." Still pissed, he just said, "Okay" and walked back inside. A guy who was standing on the porch with us said something like, "See, this is what I hate about U of M students. You didn't even do anything but they have to act like you fucked everything up."
Seriously, this guy was REALLY overreacting. I can understand why people don't want to attract the attention of cops, but they could have been so much less shitty about it. It's not like I was even acting drunk, just climbing a tree. But I'm glad it happened. Though I already knew how shitty the party was, that just helped gauge it that much more, plus made it memorable.
Earlier on, that same guy had pushed through the keg line, calling "House cups", and the party wasn't big enough to have to push to the front of the line. There were maybe 15 people there tops at that point, and maybe 3 waiting for the keg. I said to my cousin Cristobal, "I've seen friendlier people working at concentration camps." This guy really had that asshole vibe to him from the getgo. I guess I was testing him.

Yeah, what made it even more fun was the fact that the only kind of music they played was rap. I don't think I heard anything that wasn't mainstream rap.

Did I tell you about the angry, mean drunk that beat the shit out of me the other night? I think I did. I tore my MCL =and have Physical Therapy all the time. I can bend my right leg 145 degree, my left was at 90, but now is up to 125.
This guy was from Texas though, that's all I know about him.
Hey, at least you didn't get beat up, or killed or something.
